  • The geographical position is superior. There are direct buses to and from Hong Kong and Macao. There's a 24-hour convenience store in the building. About five minutes' walk, there's a dock. The service attitude is good, but the infrastructure is a little old, and the unlimited network needs to be strengthened.Special Promotion

  • The hotel is located on the edge of the Pearl River. At night, the scenery along the river is very beautiful. There are Pearl River water cruise ships not far away. It's less than five minutes' walk from the hotel to the subway station. It's very convenient. But check-in is very slow, very slow.Huaxia Room(city-view)

Travelogue

  • Going out is a worry free journey to the core area of Beijing Road in old Guangzhou

Every time I come to Guangzhou, I worry about where to live. Last time I lived in the Pearl River New Town, it took me half an hour to take a taxi to the old city for morning tea, and most of the time was wasted on the road. I became smarter this time and directly booked Hotel Landmark Canton Guangzhou. It has been proven that choosing the right location can really make the entire journey half as easy.
Take Metro Line 2 from Guangzhou South Station directly to Haizhu Square Station. Walk to the right of the exit and you will see the hotel sign in less than five minutes. We dragged our suitcases out of the subway entrance, and along the way were arcade streets, herbal tea shops, and steaming noodle stalls. Even before we checked in, we could already smell the smell of Guangzhou. In front of the hotel is the main road, making it extremely convenient to take a taxi, bus, or bike sharing. There is no need to worry about how to solve the "last mile" problem.
After packing our luggage, we went straight out. The hotel is directly across from Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. Stepping on the stone paved road of a thousand year old ancient road, old brands on both sides are adjacent to each other, such as Yinji Intestine Noodles, Lianxiang Tower, and Taotao Residence. Just a few steps away, you can sit down and have a meal. On the first night, we strolled all the way from the pedestrian street to Haizhu Square, and after seeing the night view, we strolled back to the hotel. It only took about ten minutes to walk, so there was no need to call a taxi. The next morning, I wanted to go to the Sacred Heart Cathedral to take photos. I switched from Line 1 to Line 2 on the subway, and it would take only two stops to get there. After walking for five minutes, I was standing at the entrance of the church.
The most surprising thing for me was going to Shamian Island. Take the subway from Haizhu Square Station towards Huangsha direction, and it will take three stops to get there. After exiting, you will find a group of European style buildings and a riverside boardwalk. We went for a walk in the afternoon, sat at a coffee shop in Shamian for half an hour, took a bunch of photos, and then took the subway back the same way. The whole journey took less than an hour. If you want to go to Shangxiajiu to have Little pan rice, you can do it at two subway stations; I want to go to Yuexiu Park to see the sculpture of Five Goats. It takes about ten minutes by bus to get there directly. Living here, the attractions in Guangzhou seem to be strung together in a line, with no direction taking more than half an hour's drive.
On the third day, we suddenly decided to go to the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall. We took a bus directly from the hotel entrance and got off. It only took two minutes to walk to the main entrance. After strolling out, next to Liwan Old Street, we ate the boat porridge, double skin milk and Chicken Biscuits all the way, and then we took a taxi back to the hotel when we couldn't walk. The driver heard that we were staying at Hotel Landmark Canton Guangzhou and said with a smile, 'That location is great. It's close to everywhere, even Lao Guang knows.'.
On the day of check-out, we had to catch the high-speed train, and the front desk helped us book a car that would arrive at Guangzhou South Station in fifteen minutes. The time card was just right. Before leaving, I turned around and glanced at the hotel. It was hidden among the fireworks on Beijing Road, unassuming and unremarkable, but it contained the entire dining, shopping, and transportation of old Guangzhou within a radius of one kilometer.
Next time I come to Guangzhou, I won't hesitate anymore. Living in the heart of the old city, pushing open the door leads to the millennium commercial street, and walking a few steps to the subway station is the most comfortable way to explore Guangzhou.Show more

  • A secure foothold in the heart of the old city - a peaceful stay next to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street

Last month, I made an appointment with my best friend to go to Guangzhou for a walk and eat. When choosing a hotel, I searched near Beijing Road for a long time and finally booked Hotel Landmark Canton Guangzhou. Just by looking at the name, I know it occupies an excellent position. After staying for three days, I just want to say: this hotel is tailor-made for the shopping party.
Get out of Haizhu Square Station on Metro Line 2 and walk for less than five minutes to see the hotel sign. We dragged our suitcases all the way from the subway entrance, surrounded by arcade streets and small stalls selling beef offal. The fireworks of Guangzhou wafted up from our feet. The hotel entrance is not big, but clean and tidy. The front desk girl speaks Mandarin with a hint of Cantonese accent, which sounds particularly friendly. When checking in, she took the initiative to ask us if it was the first time we came to Guangzhou, and handed us a hand-painted map of the surrounding food hunt, which clearly marked which noodle was the most slippery, which sugared water was the sweetest, and which Little pan rice was waiting in line.
The room was bigger than I expected, with a small desk between the two beds and the window facing the street view of the old city. In the evening, I could see warm yellow lights on the arcade across from me. The bathroom is dry and wet separated, the shower water pressure is sufficient, and the hot water comes quickly. What I am most satisfied with is that the sewer has no odor, and even the glass of the washbasin is wiped clean. I am most afraid of the smell of hotel pillows when I go out. The pillows here only have a faint scent of laundry detergent when smelled closely, and the bedding is shiny white with neatly folded corners, indicating that it has been changed carefully.
The most convenient option is still transportation. Downstairs from the hotel is the Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. Leaving at 9am, you will be standing on the millennium old road in just five minutes, with old brands on both sides of the stone road. If you want to go to Shangxiajiu, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shamian Island, the subway is only one or two stops away. One night, we were full of food and strolled back to the hotel from Taotaoju. It took less than ten minutes to walk, passing by Haizhu Square and also taking a night view. The lights of the Guangzhou Tower were on from afar, so we didn't have to look for angles when taking photos.
Breakfast is on the second floor of the hotel, not a fancy buffet, but the key is practicality. The porridge is soft and smooth, the rice noodles are steamed, the shrimps and eggs are tender like tofu, and the Fried white radish patty and horseshoe cake with local characteristics are all small dishes, which are not wasteful but complete. There are many local aunties sitting in the restaurant, drinking morning tea while reading newspapers. The leisurely atmosphere is a hundred times more comfortable than the breakfast table in a five-star hotel.
On the day of check-out, we slept until we woke up naturally, and the front desk helped us call a car to the high-speed railway station, which arrived in just over ten minutes. The driver said that he has taken over this shop many times, and young people who come to Guangzhou love to live here. It's just a pedestrian street outside, and it's convenient to go anywhere.
My biggest feeling after staying for three days is that Guangzhou does not lack fancy hotels, but old city hotels with good locations, cleanliness, practicality, and no airs are the real places where people can stay at ease. Next time I come to Guangzhou for a stroll and a meal, I will still choose this place - because living here, the taste of old Guangzhou is just beyond the step of opening the door.Show more
